
The essence of Italian cooking today is simplicity. One uses the freshest seasonal ingredients possible, and then uses basic cooking techniques to simply enhance the natural flavor of the food. During our Italian dinner cruise, time is taken to savor each course, to enjoy the sights of Amsterdam, and to relax after a busy day.
Anti Pasti
- Tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella with fresh basil and extra virgin olive oil
- Salad of artichoke with basil, red onion, almonds and roast capsicum
- “Vitello Tonnato” thinly sliced veal entrecote with tuna mayonnaise and wild rocket salad
- Tapenades: pesto and tomato/almond
- Marinated olives, sun dried tomatoes and balsamic onions
- Ciabatta with olive oil, thyme, pepper & salt
Warm dishes
- Fried prawns in a spicy tomato/capsicum sauce
- Chicken stew with a sauce of sage, oregano, lemon, white wine and cream
- Roseval potatoes from the oven with thyme, rosemary, garlic and sea salt
- Tagliatelle with wild spinach, goat’s cheese and parmesan cheese
Dessert
- Panna cotta of white chocolate, Frangelico and lime and almond biscuits
